The Nursing Show is a proud member of the ProMed Podcast Network (
http://promednetwork.com/).
Meningitis hits U.S. colleges, blood vessel growth in cancer management, upsetting our worldwide approach to heart disease and we'll have a special interview segment with social media nurse activist Craig Button on nurses and social media. If that's what you're looking for, you found it. It's the Nursing Show.

Welcome to the Show
Well good day and welcome to this episode of the Nursing Show. I'm your host Jamie Davis. I'm excited about this week's show. Coming up on the show this week are several nursing news items including a look at a run of meningitis hitting some of our nation's colleges this year. Then, after the news, we'll be joined by Craig Button, a self described critical care nurse working in the ER as he shares an alternative viewpoint on nurses and social media. That will be coming up later on in this episode.
Before we get to the news though, I'd like you to make sure you follow up on all of the information from this and every episode by heading over to NursingShow.com (http://NursingShow.com) and checking out the links in each episode's show notes. There are also other articles and links there to things like the free Nursing Show mobile app, student nurse tips and a whole lot more. Make sure you are following up so you know how what I talk about in the show each week is applied using your own nursing scope of practice.
If you want to get back in touch with me, please drop me an email. You can send those e-mails in to NursingShow@Gmail.com (mailto:nursingshow@gmail.com). I love to hear from you and I make sure I respond back to every email that comes in. Send me links to news items you'd like me to cover, interview suggestions with you or somebody you know.

Tip of the Week - ER Nurse Activist Craig Button on Social Media
This week on the show I bring you an alternative view of nurses in social media with Craig Button, AKA @CraigCCRNCEN on Twitter. Craig reached out to me a few weeks ago after my segment with Brittney Wilson, the Nerdy Nurse and wanted to offer a bit of an alternative view of why and how nurses should be using social media.
